2005
13" x 19"
5 color serigraph and nitric acid etch on paper

Senescence works to discus the process of aging on three levels, simultaneously. Visually it depicts a human made androgenous and decrepid by age. Conceptually it depicts the chemical formula for human telomeres. Tangibly it creates age lines on the figure by physically burning away the paper and ink with nitric acid. By joining these three facets Senescence attempts to show viewers a complex biological process in an easily digestible mode.
